The recipient receives the fax printed on their fax machine as usual - they will not notice any difference from a conventionally sent fax. You do not need your own fax machine or a phone line.

Is a fax sent over the internet legally valid?

Yes, a fax sent online is just as legally valid as a fax from a traditional fax machine. A fax is deemed received once it has fully arrived at the recipient. The delivery report serves as proof of successful transmission. Important: For documents that legally require an original handwritten signature, a fax is not sufficient - the signed original must be sent by post.

Which documents can I send as a fax?

You can send almost all common document formats as a fax: PDF files, Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx), images (JPG, PNG) and many other formats. We automatically convert your document into the format optimised for fax transmission. The maximum file size is 20 MB. For best results we recommend PDF documents with clear, legible text.

How long does it take to send a fax?

After successful payment your fax is handed over to our fax servers immediately and transmission starts right away. The actual transmission time depends on the number of pages and the connection quality to the recipient fax machine. As a rule, transmitting one page takes about 30 to 60 seconds. You automatically receive a delivery report by email once the transmission is complete.

What happens if the fax cannot be delivered?

If delivery fails, for example because the recipient number is busy or does not answer, we automatically retry several times. If the fax cannot be delivered after multiple attempts, you will receive a notification by email. If non-delivery is due to a technical issue on our side, we refund the amount - details can be found in our Terms.
