Sending a fax is simple:

1. Upload your document (PDF, Word, image)
2. Enter the recipient's fax number
3. Select the destination country
4. Review the preview
5. Enter your email for the transmission report
6. Pay securely via Stripe

After successful payment, your fax will be sent immediately and you will receive a confirmation by email.

No, with FaxMonkey you can fax without signing up. You only provide your email address so we can send you the transmission report. No account is created.

In most cases your fax is delivered within 1-5 minutes. The exact time depends on how quickly the recipient's fax machine can be reached. If there are issues, e.g., busy, we automatically retry multiple times.

FaxMonkey supports faxing to over 50 countries worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and many more. You can find the full list on our pricing page.

FaxMonkey accepts the following formats:

• PDF - recommended for best quality
• Word (.doc, .docx)
• Images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .tiff)

We recommend PDF for the best fax quality, as this format is sent exactly as you see it.

The maximum file size is 20 MB. For optimal results, we recommend documents under 5 MB. Large image files are compressed automatically.

There is no page limit. You can send as many pages as you like. Pricing is per page, the first page at a fixed price, each additional page is cheaper.

For best results:

• Use PDF instead of image files
• Use black text on a white background
• Use a legible font size (at least 10 pt)
• Avoid color photos - they will be converted to grayscale
• Scan physical documents at at least 200 DPI

Enter the fax number without spaces and hyphens. Select the country code separately.

Examples for Germany (+49):

• Berlin: 30123456 (without leading 0)
• Munich: 89123456

Important: Omit the leading 0 of the area code.

No, faxes can only be sent to landline fax numbers. Cell phone numbers cannot receive faxes. If you are unsure whether the number is a fax line, check with the recipient.

This error can have several causes:

• The number is not a fax number (e.g., telephone or cell phone)
• The recipient's fax machine is turned off or defective
• The line is permanently busy
• The fax number is no longer active

If non-delivery is due to a technical issue on our side, you can request a refund (see our Terms and Conditions).

Currently you can send one fax per submission. If you want to send multiple documents to the same recipient, you can merge them into a single PDF file before uploading.

The first page costs $1.00, each additional page only $0.25. There are no base fees, no subscriptions and no hidden charges, the same price worldwide.

We accept all major payment methods. Payment is processed securely via Stripe, a leading payment provider.

Yes, after successful payment you will receive a payment receipt by email that includes all relevant data for your accounting (amount, date, transaction ID). You can use this as a record.

If non-delivery is due to a technical issue on our side, you will receive a refund in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. You will be notified by email. We will issue the refund directly via Stripe.

You will receive an email with the transmission report after delivery. It includes the delivery status, date and time of delivery, and the number of pages transmitted. For successful delivery you will see the status "Delivered".

The transmission report is an official document that records the fax transmission. It includes sender, recipient, date/time, number of pages and delivery status. In many cases it is accepted as proof of delivery (e.g., for cancellations).

Your documents are deleted immediately after successful delivery. We do not store fax contents longer than necessary for transmission. In case of failed delivery, documents are deleted automatically after 24 hours.

Yes, you will receive email updates about your fax status. Possible statuses are: "In progress" (fax is being sent), "Delivered" (successfully arrived), or "Failed" (with reason and automatic refund).

Please check the following:

• Is the file in the correct format? (PDF, Word, JPG, PNG)
• Is the file smaller than 20 MB?
• Could the file be corrupted? Try recreating it.
• Are you using a current browser? (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

If non-delivery is due to a technical issue on our side, you will receive a refund in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. The most common reasons for failures are: incorrect fax number, recipient fax machine unreachable, or technical problems on the recipient's side. Please check the number and try again.

The preview shows how your document will look as a black-and-white fax. Colors are converted to grayscale, which is normal. Check that the text is legible, that is the most important thing. Strongly colored documents may look different from the original.

Please check:

• Your spam/junk folder
• Whether you entered the correct email address
• Wait a few minutes, emails can sometimes be delayed

Yes, security is our top priority:

• SSL encryption for all data transmissions
• Secure payment via Stripe (PCI DSS certified)
• Automatic deletion of documents after transmission

Your documents are stored only as long as necessary for fax transmission. After successful delivery they are deleted automatically. In case of failed delivery, deletion occurs after 24 hours. We do not read or analyze your documents.

No one. Your documents are transmitted encrypted and processed by machines only. Our staff does not have access to your fax contents. Only you and the recipient can see the document.

Yes, FaxMonkey processes your data solely to provide the fax service and deletes it after fulfilling the order. All transmissions are SSL encrypted. Details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Yes, a fax sent via FaxMonkey has the same legal effect as a traditional fax. The transmission report serves as proof of delivery. This is especially important for cancellations, deadlines and official documents.

The transmission report documents that the fax was successfully delivered to the recipient's device. In case law this is generally accepted as prima facie evidence of receipt. For especially important documents we also recommend certified mail.

Yes, many contracts (e.g., mobile phone, gym, insurance) can be canceled by fax. Check your contract terms to see whether fax is accepted as a cancellation method. The transmission report serves as proof of timely cancellation.
