How do I send a fax with FaxMonkey?
Sending a fax is easy:
- Upload your document (PDF, Word, image)
- Enter the recipient's fax number
- Select the destination country
- Check the preview
- Enter your email for the transmission report
- Pay securely via Stripe
After successful payment, your fax will be sent immediately and you will receive a confirmation by email.

Which file formats are supported?
FaxMonkey accepts the following formats:
- PDF - recommended for best quality
- Word (.doc, .docx)
- Images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .tiff)
We recommend PDF for the best fax quality because this format is sent exactly as you see it.
How large can my file be?
How many pages can a fax have?
How can I improve fax quality?
For best results:
- Use PDF instead of image files
- Use black text on a white background
- Use a legible font size (at least 10 pt)
- Avoid color photos - they are converted to grayscale
- Scan physical documents at least 200 DPI
Fax Number & Recipient
How to enter the fax number correctly and reach your recipient.
How do I enter the fax number correctly?
Enter the fax number without spaces or hyphens. Select the country code separately.
Examples for Germany (+49):
- Berlin: 30123456 (without leading 0)
- Munich: 89123456
Important: Leave out the leading 0 of the area code.
Can I fax to mobile numbers?
What does the error 'Number unreachable' mean?
This error can have various causes:
- The number is not a fax number (e.g., phone or mobile)
- The recipient's fax machine is switched off or defective
- The line is permanently busy
- The fax number is no longer active
In case of a technical non-delivery on our side, you can request a refund (see Terms of Service).

My document will not upload. What can I do?
Please check the following:
- Is the file in the correct format? (PDF, Word, JPG, PNG)
- Is the file smaller than 20 MB?
- Is the file possibly corrupted? Try recreating it.
- Are you using a modern browser? (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
The fax was marked as 'failed'. What now?
The preview looks different from my document. Is that normal?
I did not receive a confirmation email. What should I do?
Please check:
- Your spam/junk folder
- Whether you entered the correct email address
- Wait a few minutes - emails can sometimes be delayed
