With online fax, you upload your document (PDF, Word, image) to our website. We convert it to fax format and transmit it via our fax servers to the recipient fax number. The recipient receives the fax printed on their fax machine as normal, they will not notice any difference compared to a traditional fax. You do not need a fax machine or a phone line.

Is a fax sent over the internet legally valid?

Yes, a fax sent online is just as legally valid as a fax from a traditional fax machine. A fax is considered delivered as soon as it has been received in full by the recipient. The delivery report serves as proof of successful transmission. Important: For documents that legally require a handwritten signature, a fax is not sufficient, the signed original must be sent by post.

Which documents can I send as a fax?

You can send almost all common document formats as a fax: PDF files, Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx), images (JPG, PNG), as well as many other formats. We convert your document automatically into the format optimised for fax transmission. The maximum file size is 20 MB. For best results we recommend PDF documents with clearly legible text.

How long does it take to send a fax?

After successful payment your fax is handed over to our fax servers immediately and transmission starts right away. The actual transmission time depends on the number of pages and the connection quality to the recipient fax machine. As a rule, one page takes about 30 to 60 seconds. You will automatically receive a delivery report by email after transmission completes.

What happens if the fax cannot be delivered?

If delivery fails, for example because the recipient line is busy or does not answer, we will retry automatically several times. If the fax cannot be delivered after multiple attempts, you will receive a notification by email. In case of a technical non-delivery on our side we will refund the amount, details can be found in our terms.
