With online fax, you upload your document (PDF, Word, image) on our website. We convert it to the fax format and transmit it via our fax servers to the recipient fax number. The recipient receives the fax printed on their fax machine, just like a conventional fax. You do not need your own fax machine or a phone line.

Is a fax sent over the internet legally valid?

Yes, a fax sent online is just as legally valid as a fax from a traditional fax machine. A fax is deemed received once it has fully arrived at the recipient. The transmission report serves as proof of successful delivery. Important: for documents that legally require a handwritten signature, a fax is not sufficient. In such cases, the signed original must be sent by post.

Which documents can I send as a fax?

You can fax almost all common document formats: PDF files, Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx), images (JPG, PNG) and many other formats. We automatically convert your document to the format optimised for fax transmission. The maximum file size is 20 MB. For best results, we recommend PDF documents with clearly legible text.

How long does it take to send a fax?

After successful payment, your fax is handed over to our fax servers immediately and the transmission starts right away. The actual duration depends on the number of pages and the connection quality to the recipient fax machine. As a rule of thumb, one page takes about 30 to 60 seconds. You will receive a delivery report by email after transmission is complete.

What happens if the fax cannot be delivered?

If delivery fails, for example because the recipient line is busy or does not answer, we retry delivery automatically multiple times. If the fax cannot be delivered after several attempts, you will receive a notification by email. If non-delivery is due to a technical issue on our side, we will refund the amount.
