The recipient receives the fax printed on their fax machine as usual - they will not notice any difference from a conventional fax. You therefore do not need a fax machine or a phone line.

Is a fax sent over the Internet legally valid?

Yes, a fax sent online is just as legally valid as a fax from a conventional fax machine. The fax is considered received as soon as it has fully arrived at the recipient. The transmission report serves as proof of successful delivery. Important: For documents that legally require a handwritten signature, a fax is not sufficient - in such cases the signed original must be sent by post.

Which documents can I send as a fax?

You can send almost all common document formats by fax: PDF files, Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx), images (JPG, PNG), as well as many other formats. We automatically convert your document into the format optimised for fax transmission. The maximum file size is 20 MB. For best results we recommend PDF documents with clearly legible text.

How long does it take to send a fax?

After successful payment, your fax is immediately handed over to our fax servers and transmission begins right away. The actual transmission time depends on the number of pages and the connection quality to the recipient fax machine. As a rule, transmitting one page takes about 30-60 seconds. You automatically receive a transmission report by email once the transmission is complete.

What happens if the fax cannot be delivered?

If delivery fails (for example because the recipient number is busy or does not answer), we automatically retry delivery several times. If the fax cannot be delivered after several attempts, you will receive a notification by email. In case of a delivery failure due to a technical issue on our side, we will refund the amount - see our terms for details.
