With online fax, you upload your document (PDF, Word, image) to our website. We convert it to fax format and send it via our fax servers to the recipient fax number. The recipient receives the fax printed out on their fax machine, they will not notice any difference from a conventional fax. You therefore do not need your own fax machine or a phone line.

Is a fax sent over the internet legally valid?

Yes, a fax sent online is just as legally valid as a fax from a conventional fax machine. The fax is deemed received as soon as it has fully reached the recipient. The transmission report serves as proof of successful delivery. Important: for documents that legally require a handwritten signature, a fax is not sufficient, the signed original must be sent by post.

Which documents can I send as a fax?

You can send almost all common document formats by fax: PDF files, Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx), images (JPG, PNG) and many other formats. We automatically convert your document to a format optimised for fax transmission. The maximum file size is 20 MB. For best results we recommend PDF documents with clearly readable text.

How long does sending a fax take?

After successful payment, your fax is immediately passed to our fax servers and transmission starts straight away. The actual transmission time depends on the number of pages and the connection quality to the recipient fax machine. As a rule, one page takes about 30 to 60 seconds to transmit. You will automatically receive a transmission report by email after completion.

What happens if the fax cannot be delivered?

If delivery fails, for example because the recipient number is busy or does not answer, we will retry automatically several times. If the fax still cannot be delivered after multiple attempts, you will receive a notification by email. If non-delivery is due to a technical issue on our side, we will refund the amount, see our Terms and Conditions for details.
